The Reiner Strasser Collection

Known for both his individual works and international collaborations, Reiner Strasser is a net artist and photographer who studied at the University of Mainz and lives in Wiesbaden, Germany. The 53 works included in this collection blend fine art and born-digital literary practices and reflect a wide array of approaches and topics, such as his playful take on gameplay with ">>oh<<" and his interest in interactivity with "the sea horse (belgian reflections)." Venues where he has exhibited many of these works include the E-POETRY festival (Buffalo 2001); Computer Space Festival (Sofia 2003); the Biennale Venice (1999, 2001, 2003); the Metropolitan Art Museum (Tokyo 1999-2005); and FILE (São Paulo 2001, 2004, 2005).

Strasser sent Dene Grigar the works along with print pieces in two mailings in spring 2021.
