The Jody Zellen Collection

Jody Zellen is a Los Angeles based artist who has produced interactive installations, mobile apps, net art, animations, drawings, paintings, photographs, public art, and artist's books. This collection of 17 works donated to The NEXT by the artist include some of her most notable, such as "Without A Trace," 2009 (commissioned by Turbulence.org), "Ghost City," "Urban Fragments," and and "Disembodied Voices." Zellen received her MFA from California Institute of the Arts (1989) and MPS from New York University's Interactive Telecommunications Program (2009). She has been awarded numerous fellowships and grants for her work, including an Artist Fellowship from the City of Santa Monica in 2011 and 2016, a 2012 California Community Foundation Mid Career Fellowship, a 2011 Center for Cultural Innovation Artistic Innovation Grant, and a 2004 COLA (City of Los Angeles) Fellowship.

In May of 2019, an agreement was reached with Jody Zellen to receive digital files of her flash works.
