The Richard Holeton Collection

Richard Holeton is an American writer and higher-education administrator known for many creative works foundational to the hypertext and electronic literature genres. His most notable hypertext is Figurski at Findhorn on Acid, which has been recognized as an important early work of electronic literature. A 20th Anniversary Edition of Figurski at Findhorn on Acid, in archival and contemporary versions, was released in 2021 by Washington State University Vancouver's Electronic Literature Lab. Holeton's short fiction has appeared in literary journals and anthologies including ZYZZYVA, F(r)iction, Grain, OPEN: Journal of Arts & Letters, Indiana Review, and Mississippi Review.

In Spring of 2019, Richard Holeton transferred the collection (digital and physical materials) to the ELL. Physical materials have since been held at the ELL. The digital materials were held in the ELO Repository at the Electronic Textual Cultures Lab, later moved to the ELO server in 2019. Holeton transferred additional files to the ELL in 2022.
