The Fugue Book

"The Fugue Book is an ironic project that uses a Facebook application in order to create a narrative in part about Facebook and privacy concerns. Once logged into her account, the reader starts receiving messages from different characters that look like her friends but are in fact simulations created through the capture of her Facebook friends' information. The narrative is based on the fact that the reader is not in fact who she says or thinks she is, the aim of which is to reflect upon our construction and entrapment within virtual worlds." -- from Electronic Literature Collection, Volume 2
