"These two works are improvisations with voice and computer. The voice sounds are limited: moderated mimetic words and onomatopoeias in 'Honi,' and only one word, as the title, 'Tacotsubo,' which means 'octopus-trap' in Japanese. These pieces are an attempt to investigate the relationship between the senses and technology, and to probe the boundaries between abstract vocal sound and the extent to which sound can be 'meaningful,' not only through words." -- From the work's introductory page
