Love and the Dragonfly

Love and the Dragonfly is Coverley's unpublished print novel completed in 1973. As a multivocal work, it presages the artist's approach to narrative that found its way to her later hypertext novels, Califia (2000) and Egypt: The Book of Going Forth by Day (2006).

The manuscript, 350 pages in length, is divided into 20 chapters. Themes explored in the novel follow those the artist pursued during her long writing career: women's mythology, sexuality, and power.
