"bamboo" or "bamboo[001]" is a visual poem created with Flash that incorporates movement and sound. The piece attempts to evoke in form what it communicates linguistically, the interconnected concepts of chi, zen, and longevity. The words themselves shift in and out of existence, at one moment a part of the visual landscape before returning the next to the poem's linguistic foreground, endlessly toying with the moment of linguistic apprehension.
