"Handling Errors" is an installation and suite of audio poems. The artist Kimberly Lyle composed the poems using, as a poetic constraint, "handling errors" - which are programming vocabularies designed "to anticipate, detect, and resolve application and communication errors and prevent the program from crashing." Of her project, Lyle writes: "We use words meant to prevent errors in a machine language [in order] to undoubtedly cause them in a human one." -- From the artist's statement, New River Journal
