"The BriefStack" is a HyperCard work that contains pieces from the first four years of publishing by parody news organization, the Yossarian Universal News Service. The "BriefStack" contains "material which may be objectionable to some readers. This selection of briefs, essays, articles, and interviews is intended to introduce you to the world's premier parody news and disinformation syndicate. Founded in 1984, Yossarian Universal offers bare-knuckled satire, viscious innuendo, outgeous [sic] insult, and adolescent invective as an alternative to the mind-boggling bullshit of mainstream media. YU is the brainchild (some might call it a lesion) of Paul Fericano and Elio Ligi, whose ludicrous deaths were widely misreported in January, 1988. . . .
