"Turbulence, Greylock Arts, and MCLA Gallery 51 are pleased to announce Networked Realities: (Re)Connecting the Adamses, an interactive art and technology project that connects physical spaces in Adams and North Adams Massachusetts via the Internet.
Adams and North Adams, once a single settlement in Western Massachusetts with communities in north and south Adams, split in 1878. Networked Realities: (Re)Connecting the Adamses seeks to artistically re-connect the Town of Adams and the City of North Adams through the Internet.
After a local competition, the following five net art works were commissioned:
Lumens by Matthew Belanger, Sean Riley, and Ven Voisey
Domain of Mount Greylock – Video Portal by David Lachman
Recollecting Adams by Marianne R. Petit
Touching Gravity 2/Tilt by LiquidBody
NewAdams.es by Matthew Belanger
Two historical essays were also commissioned, and both authors participated in Historical Discussion with Paul W. Marino and Eugene Michalenko
