"Jon Thomson (b. 1969) and Alison Craighead (b. 1971) are artists living and working in London and the highlands of Scotland. On January 1, 2005 an automated Beacon began broadcasting on the web. The Beacon continuously relays selected live web searches as they are being made around the world, presenting them back in series and at regular intervals.
