"Chris Mann is an Australian composer based in New York.

'Language is the mechanism whereby you understand what I'm thinking better than I do. (Where 'I' is defined by those changes for which I is required).' -- Chris Mann

Backstory: I had built www.theuse.info as something of a dot-matrix synthesiser. Turbulence gave me the opportunity to build a standalone controller.

Versions:  An interface which uses one protocol (a user mixing a moment of music realised by instrumentalists playing familiar music on unfamiliar instruments) to conjugate, interpret, filter and comment on another (speech arrayed as a dot-matrix synth).

Materials: Two websites, two hundred something audio files, software." -- from Turbulence
