A pioneer of electronic literature, Deena Larsen is a net artist and hypertext author who began working in the field in the late 1980s, publishing her experimental poetry and narratives in The Iowa Review Web, Cauldron and Net, frAme, and many others. Among the 32 works Larsen donated to the ELO's The NEXT, visitors will find her early masterpiece, Marble Springs 1.0, published in 1992 by Eastgate Systems, Inc., as well as a copy of the rare, unpublished hypertext, "Stone Moons." Larsen remains extremely active in the field, hosting the monthly ELO Salons and participating as a member of the organization's Literary Advisory Board.
In Fall of 2018, Deena Larsen transferred the collection (digital and physical materials) to the ELL. The physical materials have since been held in the lab. The digital materials were held in the ELO Repository at the Electronic Textual Cultures Lab, later moved to the ELO server in 2019.
