Online Portuguese Netart 1997 | 2004

"Online Portuguese Netart 1997 | 2004 is the first retrospective show of Portuguese netart. It is the result of the curator's latest research project addressing the changes in the art worlds caused by the introduction of digital tools in the artistic process. Despite having such a retrospective status, the show is no more than the curator's subjective view of what have been the most interesting netart pieces created by Portuguese artists. The show includes 17 projects divided into 5 different categories, (h)activism, interactivity, narrative, world wide web and geography, each referring to specific themes or issues explored by the artists." -- From Turbulence
