The work holds many echoes of classic medieval high fantasy as well as of <em>Dungeons and Dragons</em>, with nouns including player, knight, queen, magician, sage, banshee, and, of course, ogre. The background of the piece invites us to contemplate the creative process, depicting a cluttered work desk filled with papers, books, and disks in front of a window at night.
