AB - "project hope," subtitled "collecting[reflecting]spreading hope," is a collaborative net.art and poetry project curated by Reiner Strasser, Annie Abrahams, and Alan Sondheim that took place between winter 2001 and 2002 and included many international artists like Regina Célia Pinto and Ana Maria Uribe. Users navigate a landing page full of visual links that open separate windows for each contribution. The collection features many different kinds of works, including a full subcollection of poetry from various artists.
The call for the project reads as follows: "In these dark times, we are finding people in pain, people suicidal, people sick with worry, people with the threatening dark sky; in these dark times, we seem to sense the beginning of the end, or at least the end of the beginning.
This is a call for work, for hope; this is a call for hope, for the hopeless, for all of us; this is a call for hope in spite of the world, perhaps through another world, beneath your feet or beyond."
