Treasured Artifacts on Display at the Exhibition

  • RADIO book & 3.5-inch floppy disks with the original packaging
  • A joint venture by Castelvecchi Editore & Human Systems
  • Modeled in 3D by Sierra O'Neal, the Electronic Literature Lab

This 3D model shows the way in which RA-DIO was presented to the public in 1993. A revolutionary transmedial publication, it consists of a print book and two 3.5-inch floppy disks packaged with directions and commentary. Its aesthetic of bright colors and bold fonts aims to reflect the disruption Lorenzo Miglioli's experimental hypertext and Vannini's Italian translation aimed to cause. Even the plastic sleeve that contains the media is designed to show off the work and, so, to reiterate the message that this work is highly experimental.
