I Was a Ship in Space is an immersive narrative created for the Virtual Reality environments. Intended as a "poetic experience," its story explores the "climate crisis, urban planning, and science fiction in a Southern California suburb" (Loyer, I Was a Ship in Space). Hypertext is suggested through touch and gesturing as users interact with objects with hand-held controllers.
