Created by researchers from the Creative Writing subject group at the North-West University and visually impaired participants, the Byderhand Pioneer Project involves three locative narrative installations—the Garden Verses, the Pioneer Stories, and the Karoo Gardens Verses—that use QR Codes accessed via a mobile device that provides digital narratives about the history and culture of these sites to the visually impaired.
